my hrt journey
How I bloomed ♡
from a tired boy to a very shy, very happy girl. this is every little step, in order. read it slowly, okay? 🌷
before
the grey years
I played a boy for a long, long time. good grades, short hair, “fine thanks”. I used to stare at skirts in shop windows and walk away really fast, like I’d done something naughty. (I had. in my head.)
age 22
the day I said it out loud
I told my best friend at 2am, mid-sleepover. I cried, she laughed (the good kind), and then she painted my nails pink. I kept my hands in my lap all night just looking at them.
day 1
my first little pill
estrogen + a blocker, prescribed and everything. I took the first one sitting on the bathroom floor and giggled for ten minutes. nothing had changed yet… but somehow everything had.
month 1
the static went quiet
the noise in my head just… softened. I slept better. my skin started feeling silkier and I kept touching my own arms like a weirdo. I took my very first shy mirror selfie.
month 3
sore little buds
my chest started growing and OUCH, everything was tender. hugs hurt in the cutest way. my bra stopped being a costume and became a need. down there, my little thing got smaller and shyer, and honestly? I fell in love with it.
month 4
my first little finger
one sleepy sunday I got brave: lube, a towel, one finger, and a lot of giggling. slowly, slowly… it felt like finding a secret room in my own body. my little thing was soft the whole time and I didn’t care at all. I didn’t leave bed all afternoon 🙈
month 6
curves, finally
softer face, rounder hips, a bum that fills my skirts. I smell different (sweeter, my friend says). I cry at dog videos now. I wear lingerie under my clothes on boring days just to feel cute.
month 8
soft & slow
my first time as a girl, with someone really sweet. so much lube, so many kisses, so much patience. gentle, slow anal sex until I was shaking and smiling at the same time. I cried a little after (happy tears!!). it’s still my favourite way to feel like a girl ♡
year 1
my name, my body
I celebrated one year with cake and a new name on my papers: Emma. that summer I wore a bikini at the beach for the first time, and that night I took my first fully naked mirror pic. I was shaking. I didn’t delete it.
